My very first time at HK Book Fair.
There, I came across some book promotional material - it says something Han Han (韓寒). I just found the name to be real funny - as both characters actually sound the same "HAN". The second HAN referrs to "COLD, CHILLING". And I thought he's from Korea as his surname 韓 is pretty much Korean most popular surname.
As I was browsing yahoo news, I recognize this Han Han name. Actually there were few entries about him yesterday! I was surprised, so I read on & did a bit of research on him. He's actually a post-80 gen car racer / writter / blogger. He has more than 4 Mil fanz at his Sina Blog (The China Facebook) and "With more than 300 million hits to his blog, he may be the most popular living writer in the world." He, I believe, in somewhat represents how many chinese people of our era think & feel.
I saw some of his interviews, he's abit what in HK called "inch mouth" but I think he's very intelligent in making his hostile comment, always with a smile while not using abrasive language to address a govt issue, rather, he expresses it in such a way that I dont think the govt could really put blame on him.
To sum up, I am not a political conscious person, seriously. But I believe we need to be trendy enough in knowing what the heck is going on in our society & gen. For me, I dont like looking at the so-called Big picture - the economic upheaval, the world leaders debating with their own self. Rather, I observe the "minority" , the little things, the tiny events. I dont want to explain too much why..............hahaha. It's just my political view. :)
Some reading rgd HanHan.
